Kenneth Walker is once again being dragged through litigatory action, this time from the murderer of his own fiancé.
Jonathan Mattingly, one of the murderers of Breonna Taylor, is suing Mr. Walker alleging “assault, battery, and emotional distress” during the night he and two other officers murdered Breonna Taylor.
Mattingly who at the night of the murder, stormed Walker & Taylor’s home, kicked in the couple’s front door, and in unmarked clothing began shooting his 9 millimeter handgun.
He and his partners would fire some 30 rounds and kill Breonna Taylor, a young Black woman, in the process.
In the lawsuit’s initial filing, Mattingly claims Walker’s conduct during the murder incident was “outrageous, intolerable, and offends all accepted standards of decency and morality.”
Mattingly’s attorney Kent Wicker claims that the Louisville Metro Police Foundation has raised more than $6,000 for Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly on Facebook, while a GiveSendGo campaign created by a personal acquaintance has brought in over $28,000.
GiveSendGo is a Christian crowd fundraising site that has a history of supporting anti-Black attackers such as Kyle Rittenhouse and Myles Cosgrove.
Kent Wicker also claimed that “Mattingly was shot and nearly killed by Kenneth Walker” in reference to the single shot Kenneth Walker fired off in response to the break in and nearly 30 rounds of bullets fired by officers.
More updates on this case to come.
