A previous aide to Governor Andrew Cuomo has accused him of sexual harassment.
On Sunday, Lindsey Boylan took to Twitter to release a series of tweets alleging that the Cuomo sexually harassed her for years while she was employed in his office.

“Yes, @NYGovCuomo sexually harassed me for years,” said Lindsey Boylan.
“Many saw it, and watched. I could never anticipate what to expect: would I be grilled on my work (which was very good) or harassed about my looks. Or would it be both in the same conversation?” she tweeted. “This was the way for years.”

Boylan called Cuomo’s office the “most toxic team environment,” saying that people don’t come forward because they’re afraid of the repercussions. “If people weren’t deathly afraid of him, they’d be saying the same thing and you’d already know the stories,” she said.

“Not knowing what to expect what’s the most upsetting part aside from knowing that no one would do a damn thing even when they saw it,” she added. “No one. And I know I am not the only woman.”

Boylan worked for Cuomo for several years serving as political council on a series of high profile issues. She served as deputy secretary for economic development and as a special advisor, from 2015 to 2018.
She also has recently made a bid for a national congressional seat.
Just this past year, Boylan ran for Congress against House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler in the Democratic primary for New York’s 10th Congressional district.
Boylan also has been accused of anti-Black racism.
Decade-old misconduct claims filed against Boylan during her time in the governor’s office have resurfaced. According to internal documents, three Black employees alleged that Boylan was a “bully” who “treats them like children” and was confronted with $8,000 in travel expenses, which eventually led to her resignation.
Boylan says that Cuomo harassed other women as well, and she noted that there are other women waiting to come forward.
Cuomo’s office has not responded to a request for comment from B1 Daily.
