Its been 3 months since Vice President Kamala Harris was appointed as “immigration czar” by ‘Jim Crow Joe’ Biden.
Her title by itself conveys the idea that Harris is overseeing all matters relating to or concerning the border and illegal immigration, however the VP has been suspiciously quiet when confronted about any substantive immigration issue.
To start, over 500,000 illegal immigrants have crossed the southern border into the United States since Joe Biden appointed Kamala Harris as the “border czar” and that half a million figure only refers to those who have been apprehended.
Just last week Harris was asked about the crisis down at the Texas border, where thousands of Haitians flooded the area as a result of emergency migration. Haitian immigrants were living under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas, seeking asylum from a country that has experienced a 7.2-magnitude earthquake and had its prime minister’s assassinated just 2 months ago.
The Haitian immigrants were met with whips and gunfire from white supremacist border patrol agents directed by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s administration.
When asked why Haitians were being whipped on her watch, Harris responded by saying that she was “Deeply troubled about it”.
Many argue that Harris’s office is incompetent in its current handling of the border crisis.
Critics also note that Harris and her colleagues should have had an inkling of what was coming south of the border since the Mexican government has been alerting the administration of the flood of migrants since the beginning of July.
“They are distancing from the tactic, but they’re doubling down on the policy,” said Theresa Cardinal Brown, director of immigration and cross-border policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
“Obama had kids in cages. Trump had the separation of kids from their families, and the Biden administration now has Border Patrol on horseback,” Brown said.
Border Patrol apprehended more migrants entering illegally at the Southwest border in March (168,195) than in any month in the last 20 years since March 2001, more unaccompanied alien children (18,663) than in any month in recorded history, and more families in total (52,904) than in any month for which records have been kept.
This bad news for Harris is coupled with the fact that senior American envoy for Haiti policy diplomat Daniel Foote resigned due to the Biden-Harris administration’s treatment of Haitians immigrants.
“I will not be associated with the United States’ inhumane, counterproductive decision to deport thousands of Haitian refugees and illegal immigrants to Haiti, a country where American officials are confined to secure compounds because of the danger posed by armed gangs in control of daily life,” Mr. Foote wrote in a resignation letter.
Five months into her role as “immigration czar”, its clear that Harris couldn’t be doing worse. As the border crisis continues to worsen, and illegal migrants increasingly continue to flood across the Rio Grande in greater numbers, the nation can only hope that Ms. Harris gets her act together.
