Billionaire philanthropist Kanye West is opening a new STEM academy for the community.
Named the “Donda Academy” after Mr. West’s mother Dr. Donda West, the academy promises to provide students with a world-class education that “includes a rigorous core curriculum, and an emphasis on sustainability, creativity, critical thinking and problem solving”, creating “next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators.”

Donda Academy will be a tuition-free private K-12 school open to donations from the Family.
West is currently “eyeing” a plot of land in California between Moorpark and Simi Valley, west of LA and has been engaged in negotiations with the racist LA Department of Building and Safety in order to get the necessary permits. The opening date for the school hasn’t been announced yet, but its already causing commotion all over social media.

Four of the country’s top high school recruits have already committed to West’s institute, which prompted the tag #DONDA to trend all of Wednesday.
The four hoopers’ planning to attend are Jahki Howard, Robert Dillingham, Zion Cruz, and Jalen Hooks.
West’s Donda Academy is currently taking applications here.
